Emas stabil pada hari Senin (4/11) setelah turun selama dua sesi berturut-turut, karena pasar bersiap menghadapi pemilihan presiden AS mendatang dan keputusan kebijakan Federal Reserve.
Spekulasi bahwa masa jabatan kedua Trump sebagai presiden akan memicu inflasi melalui kebijakan fiskal ekspansif dan tarif yang lebih tinggi baru-baru ini membuat investor menahan emas sebagai lindung nilai terhadap risiko inflasi jangka panjang. Namun, ekspektasi mereda karena jajak pendapat menunjukkan persaingan ketat antara kedua kandidat presiden.
Sementara itu, Fed secara luas diantisipasi akan menerapkan pemotongan suku bunga sebesar 25 bps minggu ini, menyusul pengurangan setengah poin persentase yang signifikan pada bulan September, dengan pasar juga memperhitungkan pemotongan seperempat poin lagi untuk bulan Desember. Sementara itu, ketegangan baru di Timur Tengah terus meningkatkan daya tarik emas sebagai aset safe haven.
